Our Commitment to Privacy

At Next Step: Wedding Planner, we believe your wedding planning data is deeply personal. That's why we've designed our app with privacy as a core principle. Your data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or have access to your wedding plans, guest lists, budgets, or any other information you enter into the app.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect (spoiler: almost none), how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike many apps, Next Step does NOT collect:

• Your name, email address, or any personal identification information
• Wedding details (date, venue, guest names, budget information)
• Photos or images you add to mood boards
• Vows, speeches, or any text content you create
• Contact information from your guest list
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Browsing history or app usage analytics
• Device identifiers for advertising purposes

Information That Stays on Your Device

All data you enter into Next Step is stored locally on your device using SQLite, a secure local database. This includes:

• Wedding date and details
• Tasks and timeline items
• Budget categories and expenses
• Guest list and RSVP information
• Seating chart arrangements
• Vendor information
• Music playlists
• Bridal party details
• Vows and speeches
• Mood board images
• Checklists and notes

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it or enable iCloud backup.

iCloud Backup (Optional)

For iOS users, Next Step supports optional iCloud backup. If you enable this feature:

• Your data is backed up to your personal iCloud account
• Apple manages this data according to their privacy policy
• We (Rappasoft LLC) have no access to your iCloud backup data
• You can disable this feature at any time in your device settings

Weather Data

Next Step may display weather information for your wedding date and location. To provide this feature:

• We send only the location you provide (city/venue) to a weather service provider
• No personal information is included in these requests
• Weather data requests are made directly from your device

App Store Data

When you purchase Next Step from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store:

• The transaction is handled entirely by Apple or Google
• We receive anonymized sales data (no personal information)
• We do not have access to your payment information

Data Export

Next Step allows you to export your data (e.g., guest lists to Excel). When you export:

• The export happens entirely on your device
• You control where the exported file is saved or shared
• We have no access to exported files

Contact Import

If you choose to import contacts from your device to your guest list:

• The import happens locally on your device
• Contact data is never transmitted to us or any third party
• You control which contacts to import
• You can remove imported contacts at any time

Children's Privacy

Next Step is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we don't collect personal information from any users, this applies to all ages.

Third-Party Services

Next Step does not include:

• Advertising SDKs or ad networks
• Analytics tracking (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
• Social media integrations that share your data
• Any services that would compromise your privacy

Your Rights

Since your data stays on your device, you have complete control over it:

• Access: All your data is accessible within the app at any time
• Export: You can export your data in various formats
• Delete: You can delete any or all data within the app, or by uninstalling the app
• Portability: Export features allow you to take your data with you

Data Security

Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including device encryption and biometric locks. On iOS devices with SQLCipher support, the local database is additionally encrypted. Since we don't transmit or store your data on our servers, there's no risk of data breaches from our side.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
